- The hp pumper #680-7500 carb as been updated and approved
to a .540 venturi bore for the super stock classes and deco novice

bore can not be modified to the new .540 bore. Glenn Lewis, QMA

notes from National Meeting
- 11/12/2003: Rule clarification Page 23 top of page;
Honda 160 motor; Swapping parts;
If you are found using a new style Honda (E2)flat-top piston with
an older (E1) head or the opposite combination will result in
a 6 month suspension and the complete engine would be confiscated.
As of Jan 1, 2004, if you are found using the old combination
of piston and head, this would result in a 30 day suspension and
the head and piston would be confiscated.
- As of Jan. 1, 2004 all GX-160 engines must have the new
'E2 SPEC' piston and head installed. All other parts from the
old style engine can be used.
- 9/5/2003: Any claimed Honda motor that has a part(s) in which
that item is deemed to be at maximum tolerances and is subject
to confiscation but not DQ'able, the resulted claim is null and
void. Part is to be sent to National and claimed monies returned
to claimer. All other parts returned to owner.
- 8/15/2003: No "Wavy", "Cone", or "Foam" type washers are allowed
to be used on the crankshaft of any Stock motor. Only flat washers
can be used to take up end play.
- 8/15/2003: 20 thousandths maximum end play on crankshaft.
You must either apply back pressure to the flywheel or take off
the gear housing and apply forward pressure to the crankshaft
while checking the ignition timing. No more pushing on the flywheel
to check the timing. A small amount of pressure is all that is
required to be applied.
- 1/1/2003: All Briggs type mufflers must be "unaltered". No
drilling holes in the baffles and the inside seam must be parallel.
You cannot cut off the threaded flange if it is to be used on
a Honda. It is ok to weld a washer or nut on the flange for a
place to apply safety wire.
- BOD updates: 82 jet for all 160's approved May 15
