With the Western Grand’s less then a week away
they already have 381 cars that have pre-registered; this was the
last count from Virginia Jessee on 7/10/04. I am sure there will be
a lot more pulling in on Saturday. Mark Lloyd is working with other
safety director’s to have a strong group getting all of the cars
through safety that day. Remember folks this is the grand’s and
everything will be checked and rechecked if need be, so please brush
up on your rule books. If any of you moms or dad that will be at the
grand’s can help out in the tower they still have a few holes of
time that can be filled. If at anytime you hear for a judge or a
corner, please don’t look around to see who is going to jump in and
help, just step up to the plate and lets put on one heck of a show,
It takes everyone to run a race smoothly, not just the hosting club
or the national BOD.
Shane Scott from Chico has been hired to
provide motor home water to the campers in need on
Monday/Wednesday/Friday. He will also be selling 20lb bags of Ice
for $5.00 all week with the proceeds going to the club. He has 20
brand new gas powered golf karts for rent. He is donating 2 to the
club and his weekly rate for 8 DAYS (Saturday to Saturday) is
$150.00 or 40 dollars a day, you pick... or call him and make your
