On behalf of the Board of Directors and membership of the Miami Valley Quarter Midget Club, we welcome you to Xenia, Ohio for the 2007 Eastern Grand National Championship. We would like to thank you for coming out and helping us to celebrate the Miami Valley Club’s 50th anniversary. Please refer to our club website www.mvqmra.com for any questions or contact information you may have.
We are located on the grounds of Kil-Kare Speedway, a member of the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge. Kil-Kare has a special race lined up on their schedule for the Friday evening prior to the start of the Eastern Grands (July 20, 2007) for the quarter midget enthusiast. It is Open Wheel Friday featuring USAC Ford Focus Midgets, WSOA Winged Sprints, and the American Modified Series. Check out their website for more information at www.kilkareraceway.com.
There are many things to do and see in our area. Dayton is rich in automobile and aviation. The Wright Brothers, Orville and Wilbur, were born and raised in Dayton, so we’re known as the “Birthplace of Aviation”. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is just a few miles from the track and is home to the oldest and largest aviation museum in the world. If nature is what you like, take a short drive north on Route 68 to John Bryan State Park and hike down into Clifton Gorge. However, if you’re up something exciting, you can catch a thrilling ride at Paramount’s Kings Island located just 45 minutes from the track. Please visit www.greenecountyohio.org for numerous things to do and places to stay.
We hope you enjoy your stay here with us and have time to enjoy yourselves. The Miami Valley Club would like to wish every driver a great racing week.
Don Fleming, President
Miami Valley Board
